Privacy Policy (Policy on the Protection of Personal Information)
Daiwa Steel Ball Co., Ltd. (hereinafter “the Company”) has established the following privacy policy and a mechanism for the protection of personal information and keeps all its employees recognizing the importance of privacy and working on the protection of privacy, thus promoting the protection of personal information.
Management of personal information
In order to keep updated customers’ personal information accurately and prevent unauthorized access to, loss of, and damage to it as well as information falsification and/or leakage, the Company takes necessary measures, including the maintenance of a security system, development of a management system, and thoroughgoing employee training, while implementing security countermeasures and managing all customers’ personal information strictly.
Use of personal information
Customers’ personal information entrusted to the Company shall be used for the purpose of sending e-mail and data in response to their inquiries and providing them with necessary information and business guidance.
Prohibition of the disclosure and provision of personal information to third parties
The Company shall properly manage each customer’s personal information entrusted to the Company, and shall not disclose any personal information to third parties except in cases falling under any of the following conditions.
• There is consent from the customer.
• The Company discloses the customer’s personal information to the Company’s contractor(s) in order to provide any services requested by the customer.
• If it is necessary to disclose the customer’s personal information according to the laws and regulations.
Security measures for personal information
The Company takes all possible security measures for the maintenance of the accuracy and safety maintenance of personal information.
Queries from customers
If a customer requests to make an inquiry about, amend, or delete his/her personal information, the Company shall identify the customer and respond to the request accordingly.
Compliance with laws, regulations, and other norms and a review of the privacy policy
The Company shall comply with the relevant laws and regulations of Japan and other norms applicable to personal information held by the Company while reviewing the content of the privacy policy from time to time, and endeavor to improve the privacy policy.
